My life was nothing short of beautiful. It was full of joy, dreams, rainbows, sunshine and pixie dust. It’s not a perfect one; but I happened to be contented as everything’s falling into place, little by little. I thought to myself, Good Lord, I couldn’t ask for more.
Almost 2 years after my first trip to Baler in 2014, my Tita granted my request to have a taste of the ocean again. It’s been 7 long months since the last! She asked 2 of her friends if they want to join us and the next thing I know, I am being asked to book a hotel and bus trips.
I had no idea I’ll tag along in this trip down south. At exactly 3:00 in the morning, we were fetched by my Tita Grace’s friend at Tita Irish’s condo and he drove us to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban, Quezon. We arrived at 5:15am, too early for the shrine’s opening at 6.

Thank you Vybes Production for continuously bringing indie acts to the Philippines!
Let me start off this blog post by saying: I found love in these people!
It was Raymond’s birthday last February 2 and he chose to celebrate it with us, his #KutisAirconFriends yesterday. Yiee. The initial plan’s to go to Tagaytay but Daryl wasn’t able to take a leave from work so we decided to have dinner at BGC instead. We met late in the afternoon, thought of pushing the Tags trip through but Friday’s traffic situation in the metro has always been a deciding factor. So we obliged at Raymond’s request of checking out the food at Pound by Todd English since it is their opening day!
Annually, our clan on my mom’s side makes it sure that we have a gathering-slash-reunion on the first day of the year since it is also the birthday of my Apo Magno, the eldest son of my great-grandparents. I can say it is not that of a big deal actually, since we often see each other — during occassions once or twice a month or during weekends when one of us wants to play tong-its or kwaho, the card games everyone of us knows how to play. (There’s actually a kwaho session downstairs while I am writing this. Haha!) It’s the signature of The Virays.
